18:1 Now Jehoshaphat had riches and honour in abundance, and joined affinity with Ahab.
18:1 여호사밧에게 재물과 영예가 풍성히 있었으며 그가 또 아합과 친족 관계를 맺었더라.
18:2 And after [certain] years he went down to Ahab to Samaria. And Ahab killed sheep and oxen for him in abundance, and for the people that [he had] with him, and persuaded him to go up [with him] to Ramothgilead.
18:2 몇 년 후에 그가 사마리아에 이르러 아합에게 내려가니, 아합이 그와 그의 동행한 백성을 위하여 양과 수소를 많이 잡고, 자기와 함께 라못길르앗에 올라가도록 그를 설득하더라.
18:3 And Ahab king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat king of Judah, Wilt thou go with me to Ramothgilead? And he answered him, I [am] as thou [art], and my people as thy people; and [we will be] with thee in the war.
18:3 이스라엘의 아합왕이 유다의 여호사밧왕에게 말하기를 "당신은 나와 함께 라못길르앗에 가시겠나이까?" 하니 그가 아합에게 대답하기를 "나는 당신과 같고 내 백성은 당신의 백성과 같으니, 우리가 당신과 함께 전쟁에 참여하리이다." 하더라.
18:4 And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Enquire, I pray thee, at the word of the LORD to day.
18:4 여호사밧이 이스라엘 왕에게 말하기를 "내가 청하오니 오늘 주의 말씀에 물어 보소서." 하더라.
18:5 Therefore the king of Israel gathered together of prophets four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall we go to Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for God will deliver [it] into the king's hand.
18:5 이스라엘 왕이 선지자 사백 명을 모으고 그들에게 말하기를 "우리가 라못길르앗으로 싸우러 가리이까?" 하니 그들이 말하기를 "올라가소서. 하나님께서 그것을 왕의 손에 넘겨주시리이다." 하더라.
18:6 But Jehoshaphat said, [Is there] not here a prophet of the LORD besides, that we might enquire of him?
18:6 그러나 여호사밧이 말하기를 "여기에 그 외에 우리가 물을 만한 주의 선지자가 없나이까?" 하니
18:7 And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, [There is] yet one man, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he never prophesied good unto me, but always evil: the same [is] Micaiah the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.
18:7 이스라엘 왕이 여호사밧에게 말하기를 "아직 한 사람이 있으니 그를 통하여 우리가 주께 물을 수 있으나, 내가 그를 미워하나이다. 이는 그가 내게 좋은 것은 예언하지 않고 항상 나쁜 것을 예언함이니이다. 그 선지자는 임라의 아들 미카야니이다." 하니 여호사밧이 말하기를 "왕께서는 그리 말씀하지 마소서." 하더라.
18:8 And the king of Israel called for one [of his] officers, and said, Fetch quickly Micaiah the son of Imla.
18:8 그러자 이스라엘 왕이 그의 관원들 중 한 사람을 불러 말하기를 "임라의 아들 미카야를 속히 데려오라." 하더라.
18:9 And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah sat either of them on his throne, clothed in [their] robes, and they sat in a void place at the entering in of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them.
18:9 이스라엘 왕과 유다의 여호사밧왕이 사마리아 성문 입구 광장에서 각기 보좌에 앉아 있고, 모든 선지자들이 그들 앞에서 예언하는데
18:10 And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah had made him horns of iron, and said, Thus saith the LORD, With these thou shalt push Syria until they be consumed.
18:10 크나아나의 아들 시드키야가 철로 뿔들을 만들어 말하기를 "주가 이같이 말하노라. 너는 이것들로 시리아를 찌르되 그들을 진멸시킬 때까지 하라." 하더라.
18:11 And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramothgilead, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver [it] into the hand of the king.
18:11 또 모든 선지자들도 그렇게 예언하여 말하기를 "라못길르앗으로 올라가서 성공하소서. 주께서 그것을 왕의 손에 넘겨주시리이다." 하더라.
18:12 And the messenger that went to call Micaiah spake to him, saying, Behold, the words of the prophets [declare] good to the king with one assent; let thy word therefore, I pray thee, be like one of theirs, and speak thou good.
18:12 한편 미카야를 부르러 간 사자가 그에게 일러 말하기를 "선지자들이 하나같이 왕에게 좋은 것을 고하였나이다. 그러므로 내가 청하오니, 당신의 말도 그들 중 하나의 말과 같이 하여 좋은 것을 고하소서." 하니
18:13 And Micaiah said, [As] the LORD liveth, even what my God saith, that will I speak.
18:13 미카야가 말하기를 "주께서 사시는 한, 나의 하나님이 말씀하시는 것을 내가 말하리라." 하더라.
18:14 And when he was come to the king, the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go to Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And he said, Go ye up, and prosper, and they shall be delivered into your hand.
18:14 그리하여 그가 왕에게 이르니, 왕이 그에게 말하기를 "미카야야, 우리가 라못길르앗으로 싸우러 가랴, 말랴?" 하자 그가 말하기를 "올라가서 성공하소서. 그들이 왕의 손에 넘겨지리이다." 하므로
18:15 And the king said to him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou say nothing but the truth to me in the name of the LORD?
18:15 왕이 그에게 말하기를 "내가 몇 번이나 너로 맹세하게 해야 네가 나에게 주의 이름으로 진실만을 말하겠느냐?" 하니
18:16 Then he said, I did see all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master; let them return [therefore] every man to his house in peace.
18:16 그가 말하기를 "내가 보니 온 이스라엘이 산 위에 흩어졌는데, 마치 목자 없는 양 같았나이다. 그리고 주께서 말씀하시기를 '이들에게는 주인이 없으니, 그러므로 그들로 각자 평안히 자기 집으로 돌아가게 하라.' 하셨나이다." 하더라.
18:17 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee [that] he would not prophesy good unto me, but evil?
18:17 이스라엘 왕이 여호사밧에게 말하기를 "그가 내게 좋은 것은 예언하지 아니하고 나쁜 것만 한다고 내가 당신께 말하지 아니하였나이까?" 하니
18:18 Again he said, Therefore hear the word of the LORD; I saw the LORD sitting upon his throne, and all the host of heaven standing on his right hand and [on] his left.
18:18 미카야가 다시 말하기를 "그러므로 주의 말씀을 들으소서. 내가 보니 주께서 그의 보좌에 앉아 계시고 하늘의 모든 군대가 그의 오른편과 왼편에 서 있는데
18:19 And the LORD said, Who shall entice Ahab king of Israel, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one spake saying after this manner, and another saying after that manner.
18:19 주께서 말씀하시기를 '누가 이스라엘의 아합왕을 꾀어서 그로 라못길르앗에 올라가서 쓰러지게 할 것인가?' 하시니, 하나는 이렇게 말하여 고하고 또 하나는 저렇게 말하여 고하였는데
18:20 Then there came out a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will entice him. And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith?
18:20 그때 한 영이 나와 주 앞에 서서 말하기를 '내가 그를 꾀겠나이다.' 하자 주께서 그에게 말씀하시기를 '어떻게 하겠느냐?' 하시니
18:21 And he said, I will go out, and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And [the LORD] said, Thou shalt entice [him], and thou shalt also prevail: go out, and do [even] so.
18:21 그가 말하기를 '내가 나가서 거짓말하는 영이 되어 그의 모든 선지자들의 입에 있겠나이다.' 하므로 주께서 말씀하시기를 '네가 그를 꾀어 이루라. 나가서 그렇게 하라.' 하셨나이다.
18:22 Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil against thee.
18:22 그러므로 이제 보소서, 주께서 이들 왕의 선지자들의 입에 거짓말하는 영을 넣으셨고, 또 주께서 왕에 대하여 재앙을 말씀하셨나이다." 하더라.
18:23 Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah upon the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto thee?
18:23 그러자 크나아나의 아들 시드키야가 가까이 가서 미카야의 뺨을 치며 말하기를 "주의 영이 나로부터 어디로 가서 네게 말씀하시더냐?" 하니
18:24 And Micaiah said, Behold, thou shalt see on that day when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide thyself.
18:24 미카야가 말하기를 "보라, 네가 숨으려고 골방에 들어가는 그 날에 네가 알게 되리라." 하더라.
18:25 Then the king of Israel said, Take ye Micaiah, and carry him back to Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king's son;
18:25 그때 이스라엘 왕이 말하기를 "너희는 미카야를 잡아 성읍의 치리자 아몬과 왕의 아들 요아스에게 끌고 가서
18:26 And say, Thus saith the king, Put this [fellow] in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I return in peace.
18:26 말하기를 '왕이 이같이 말하노라. 이 자를 감옥에 넣고 내가 평안히 돌아올 때까지 고생의 빵과 고생의 물로 먹이라.' 하라." 하자
18:27 And Micaiah said, If thou certainly return in peace, [then] hath not the LORD spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, all ye people.
18:27 미카야가 말하기를 "만일 왕이 분명히 평안히 돌아오신다면, 주께서 나를 통하여 말씀하신 것이 아니니이다." 하고, 또 말하기를 "너희 온 백성아, 들으라." 하더라.
18:28 So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramothgilead.
18:28 그리하여 이스라엘 왕과 유다 왕 여호사밧이 라못길르앗으로 올라가니라.
18:29 And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and will go to the battle; but put thou on thy robes. So the king of Israel disguised himself; and they went to the battle.
18:29 이스라엘 왕이 여호사밧에게 말하기를 "나는 변장을 하고 전장으로 가리이다. 그러나 왕은 왕복을 입으소서." 하여 이스라엘 왕은 변장을 하고, 그들이 전장으로 가니라.
18:30 Now the king of Syria had commanded the captains of the chariots that [were] with him, saying, Fight ye not with small or great, save only with the king of Israel.
18:30 그때 시리아 왕이 그와 함께 한 병거 대장들에게 명하여 말하기를 "너희는 작은 자나 큰 자와 더불어 싸우지 말고 오직 이스라엘의 왕과만 싸우라." 하였는데
18:31 And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, It [is] the king of Israel. Therefore they compassed about him to fight: but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the LORD helped him; and God moved them [to depart] from him.
18:31 병거 대장들이 여호사밧을 보자 말하기를 "이스라엘 왕이다." 하고 그들이 싸우기 위해 그를 에워싸니 여호사밧이 부르짖더라. 이에 주께서 그를 도우시고 하나님께서 그들을 움직여 그에게서 떠나게 하시니라.
18:32 For it came to pass, that, when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was not the king of Israel, they turned back again from pursuing him.
18:32 병거 대장들이 그가 이스라엘 왕이 아님을 알고 쫓기를 그치고 돌아가더라.
18:33 And a [certain] man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the joints of the harness: therefore he said to his chariot man, Turn thine hand, that thou mayest carry me out of the host; for I am wounded.
18:33 그때 어떤 사람이 시험삼아 활을 당겨서 이스라엘 왕의 갑옷 솔기를 쏜지라, 왕이 그의 병거 모는 자에게 말하기를 "네 손을 돌려 나를 군대 밖으로 끌어 내라. 내가 부상당하였느니라." 하더라.
18:34 And the battle increased that day: howbeit the king of Israel stayed [himself] up in [his] chariot against the Syrians until the even: and about the time of the sun going down he died.
18:34 그 날에 전쟁이 맹렬하였으나 이스라엘 왕이 그의 병거 안에 머물면서 저녁까지 시리아인들을 대항하다가 해질 무렵에 죽으니라.
18:1 여호사밧에게 재물과 영예가 풍성히 있었으며 그가 또 아합과 친족 관계를 맺었더라.

18:3 And Ahab king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat king of Judah, Wilt thou go with me to Ramothgilead? And he answered him, I [am] as thou [art], and my people as thy people; and [we will be] with thee in the war.
18:3 이스라엘의 아합왕이 유다의 여호사밧왕에게 말하기를 "당신은 나와 함께 라못길르앗에 가시겠나이까?" 하니 그가 아합에게 대답하기를 "나는 당신과 같고 내 백성은 당신의 백성과 같으니, 우리가 당신과 함께 전쟁에 참여하리이다." 하더라.

18:14 And when he was come to the king, the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go to Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And he said, Go ye up, and prosper, and they shall be delivered into your hand.
18:14 그리하여 그가 왕에게 이르니, 왕이 그에게 말하기를 "미카야야, 우리가 라못길르앗으로 싸우러 가랴, 말랴?" 하자 그가 말하기를 "올라가서 성공하소서. 그들이 왕의 손에 넘겨지리이다." 하므로

18:17 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee [that] he would not prophesy good unto me, but evil?
18:17 이스라엘 왕이 여호사밧에게 말하기를 "그가 내게 좋은 것은 예언하지 아니하고 나쁜 것만 한다고 내가 당신께 말하지 아니하였나이까?" 하니
18:18 Again he said, Therefore hear the word of the LORD; I saw the LORD sitting upon his throne, and all the host of heaven standing on his right hand and [on] his left.
18:18 미카야가 다시 말하기를 "그러므로 주의 말씀을 들으소서. 내가 보니 주께서 그의 보좌에 앉아 계시고 하늘의 모든 군대가 그의 오른편과 왼편에 서 있는데
18:19 And the LORD said, Who shall entice Ahab king of Israel, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one spake saying after this manner, and another saying after that manner.
18:19 주께서 말씀하시기를 '누가 이스라엘의 아합왕을 꾀어서 그로 라못길르앗에 올라가서 쓰러지게 할 것인가?' 하시니, 하나는 이렇게 말하여 고하고 또 하나는 저렇게 말하여 고하였는데

18:20 그때 한 영이 나와 주 앞에 서서 말하기를 '내가 그를 꾀겠나이다.' 하자 주께서 그에게 말씀하시기를 '어떻게 하겠느냐?' 하시니
18:21 And he said, I will go out, and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And [the LORD] said, Thou shalt entice [him], and thou shalt also prevail: go out, and do [even] so.
18:21 그가 말하기를 '내가 나가서 거짓말하는 영이 되어 그의 모든 선지자들의 입에 있겠나이다.' 하므로 주께서 말씀하시기를 '네가 그를 꾀어 이루라. 나가서 그렇게 하라.' 하셨나이다.

18:28 So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramothgilead.
18:28 그리하여 이스라엘 왕과 유다 왕 여호사밧이 라못길르앗으로 올라가니라.

18:31 병거 대장들이 여호사밧을 보자 말하기를 "이스라엘 왕이다." 하고 그들이 싸우기 위해 그를 에워싸니 여호사밧이 부르짖더라. 이에 주께서 그를 도우시고 하나님께서 그들을 움직여 그에게서 떠나게 하시니라.
18:32 For it came to pass, that, when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was not the king of Israel, they turned back again from pursuing him.
18:32 병거 대장들이 그가 이스라엘 왕이 아님을 알고 쫓기를 그치고 돌아가더라.
18:33 And a [certain] man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the joints of the harness: therefore he said to his chariot man, Turn thine hand, that thou mayest carry me out of the host; for I am wounded.
18:33 그때 어떤 사람이 시험삼아 활을 당겨서 이스라엘 왕의 갑옷 솔기를 쏜지라, 왕이 그의 병거 모는 자에게 말하기를 "네 손을 돌려 나를 군대 밖으로 끌어 내라. 내가 부상당하였느니라." 하더라.
18:34 And the battle increased that day: howbeit the king of Israel stayed [himself] up in [his] chariot against the Syrians until the even: and about the time of the sun going down he died.
18:34 그 날에 전쟁이 맹렬하였으나 이스라엘 왕이 그의 병거 안에 머물면서 저녁까지 시리아인들을 대항하다가 해질 무렵에 죽으니라.
