17:1 Now it came to pass, as David sat in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, Lo, I dwell in an house of cedars, but the ark of the covenant of the LORD [remaineth] under curtains.
17:1 다윗이 그의 궁에 앉아 있을 때, 선지자 나단에게 말하기를 "보라, 나는 백향목 집에 거하는데, 주의 언약궤는 휘장 아래 있도다." 하니
17:2 Then Nathan said unto David, Do all that [is] in thine heart; for God [is] with thee.
17:2 나단이 다윗에게 고하기를 "하나님께서 왕과 함께 계시니, 왕의 마음에 있는 대로 행하소서." 하더라.
17:3 And it came to pass the same night, that the word of God came to Nathan, saying,
17:3 그날 밤에 하나님의 말씀이 나단에게 임하여 말씀하시기를
17:4 Go and tell David my servant, Thus saith the LORD, Thou shalt not build me an house to dwell in:
17:4 "너는 가서 내 종 다윗에게 말하라. 주가 이같이 말하노라. 너는 내가 거할 집을 짓지 말라.
17:5 For I have not dwelt in an house since the day that I brought up Israel unto this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and from [one] tabernacle [to another].
17:5 이는 내가 이스라엘을 인도해 낸 날부터 오늘까지 집에 거하지 아니하고 장막에서 장막으로, 이 성막에서 다른 성막으로 옮겼음이라.
17:6 Wheresoever I have walked with all Israel, spake I a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have ye not built me an house of cedars?
17:6 내가 온 이스라엘과 함께 행한 어느 곳에서나 내가 내 백성을 먹이라고 명한 이스라엘 재판관들 중 누구에게 말하기를 너희가 어찌하여 나를 위하여 백향목으로 집을 짓지 아니하였느냐고 한 마디라도 한 적이 있느냐?
17:7 Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, [even] from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be ruler over my people Israel:
17:7 그러므로 이제 너는 내 종 다윗에게 이같이 말하라. 만군의 주가 이같이 말하노라. 내가 양우리에서, 즉 양을 따르는 너를 취하여 너로 내 백성 이스라엘을 다스리는 치리자가 되게 하고
17:8 And I have been with thee whithersoever thou hast walked, and have cut off all thine enemies from before thee, and have made thee a name like the name of the great men that [are] in the earth.
17:8 네가 어디로 가든지 내가 너와 함께 있어 네 앞에서 네 모든 원수들을 끊어 버렸으며, 또 지상에 있는 위대한 사람들의 이름과 같은 이름을 네게 만들어 주었도다.
17:9 Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning,
17:9 내가 또 내 백성 이스라엘을 위하여 한 장소를 정하여 그들을 심으리니, 그들이 그들의 장소에 거하여 다시는 옮겨지지 아니할 것이요, 악의 자손들도 처음처럼 그들을 더 이상 훼손시키지 못할 것이며,
17:10 And since the time that I commanded judges [to be] over my people Israel. Moreover I will subdue all thine enemies. Furthermore I tell thee that the LORD will build thee an house.
17:10 내가 재판관들에게 명하여 내 백성 이스라엘을 다스리게 하던 때와도 같지 않으리라. 또 내가 네 모든 원수로 복종케 하리라. 또 내가 네게 말하노니, 주가 너를 위하여 한 집을 세우리라.
17:11 And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go [to be] with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom.
17:11 네 날들이 다 되어 네가 네 조상에게로 가야 할 때가 되면, 내가 네 뒤에 네 아들 중에서 네 씨를 일으킬 것이요, 내가 그의 왕국을 세우리라.
17:12 He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever.
17:12 그가 나를 위하여 전을 지을 것이요, 나는 그의 보좌를 영원히 견고하게 하리라.
17:13 I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took [it] from [him] that was before thee:
17:13 나는 그의 아버지가 되고, 그는 나의 아들이 되리라. 또 내가 그에게서 내 자비를 빼앗지 아니하여, 네 앞에 있던 자로부터 빼앗은 것같이 아니하고,
17:14 But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore.
17:14 그를 내 전과 내 왕국에 영원히 정착시키리니, 그의 보좌가 영원토록 견고하게 되리라." 하시더라.
17:15 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.
17:15 이 모든 말씀과 이 모든 환상에 따라 나단이 다윗에게 그대로 고하니라.
17:16 And David the king came and sat before the LORD, and said, Who [am] I, O LORD God, and what [is] mine house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?
17:16 다윗왕이 와서 주 앞에 앉아 말하기를 "오 주 하나님이여, 내가 누구이며 내 집이 무엇이기에 주께서 나를 여기까지 인도하셨나이까?
17:17 And [yet] this was a small thing in thine eyes, O God; for thou hast [also] spoken of thy servant's house for a great while to come, and hast regarded me according to the estate of a man of high degree, O LORD God.
17:17 오 하나님이여, 이것은 주의 눈에 오히려 하찮은 것일 뿐이니, 이는 주께서 또한 주의 종의 집에 대하여 다가올 먼 미래까지 말씀하셨으며, 오 주 하나님이여, 주께서 나를 높은 지위에 있는 사람과 동일하게 간주하셨음이니이다.
17:18 What can David [speak] more to thee for the honour of thy servant? for thou knowest thy servant.
17:18 다윗이 주의 종의 존귀를 위하여 주께 무엇을 더 말할 수 있으리이까? 주께서 주의 종을 아시나이다.
17:19 O LORD, for thy servant's sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all this greatness, in making known all [these] great things.
17:19 오 주여, 주의 종을 위하여, 또 주의 마음을 따라, 주께서 이 모든 큰 일을 행하시어 이 모든 큰 일들을 알게 하셨나이다.
17:20 O LORD, [there is] none like thee, neither [is there any] God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
17:20 오 주여, 우리의 귀로 들은 모든 것에 따르면 주와 같은 분이 없고 주 외에는 어떤 하나님도 없나이다.
17:21 And what one nation in the earth [is] like thy people Israel, whom God went to redeem [to be] his own people, to make thee a name of greatness and terribleness, by driving out nations from before thy people, whom thou hast redeemed out of Egypt?
17:21 세상에서 어느 민족이 주의 백성 이스라엘과 같으리이까? 하나님께서는 가셔서 그들을 구속하시어 자신의 백성을 삼으시고, 또 주께서 이집트에서 구속해 내신 주의 백성 앞에서 민족들을 몰아내심으로써 크고 무서운 이름을 얻으셨나이다.
17:22 For thy people Israel didst thou make thine own people for ever; and thou, LORD, becamest their God.
17:22 주께서 주의 백성 이스라엘을 영원히 주의 백성으로 삼으셨으니, 주여, 주께서 그들의 하나님이 되셨나이다.
17:23 Therefore now, LORD, let the thing that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant and concerning his house be established for ever, and do as thou hast said.
17:23 그러므로 이제 주여, 주께서 주의 종과 그의 집에 관하여 말씀하신 것이 영원히 견고하게 되게 하시고, 또 주께서 말씀하신 대로 행하소서.
17:24 Let it even be established, that thy name may be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts [is] the God of Israel, [even] a God to Israel: and [let] the house of David thy servant [be] established before thee.
17:24 그 집을 견고하게 하심으로 주의 이름이 영원히 높임을 받게 하시어, 말하기를 '만군의 주는 이스라엘의 하나님이시니, 즉 이스라엘에게 하나님이시라.' 하게 하시고, 주의 종 다윗의 집으로 주 앞에 견고히 서게 하소서.
17:25 For thou, O my God, hast told thy servant that thou wilt build him an house: therefore thy servant hath found [in his heart] to pray before thee.
17:25 오 나의 하나님이여, 주께서 주의 종에게 집을 지어 주시겠다고 말씀하셨으므로, 주의 종이 주 앞에서 기도할 마음이 생겼나이다.
17:26 And now, LORD, thou art God, and hast promised this goodness unto thy servant:
17:26 주여, 주는 하나님이시요, 주의 종에게 이 선한 것을 약속하셨나이다.
17:27 Now therefore let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may be before thee for ever: for thou blessest, O LORD, and [it shall be] blessed for ever.
17:27 그러므로 이제 주의 종의 집에 복을 주시어 주 앞에 영원히 있게 하사 주께 기쁨이 되게 하소서. 오 주여, 주께서 복을 주셨으니 종의 집이 영원히 복을 받으리이다." 하니라
17:1 다윗이 그의 궁에 앉아 있을 때, 선지자 나단에게 말하기를 "보라, 나는 백향목 집에 거하는데, 주의 언약궤는 휘장 아래 있도다." 하니
17:2 Then Nathan said unto David, Do all that [is] in thine heart; for God [is] with thee.
17:2 나단이 다윗에게 고하기를 "하나님께서 왕과 함께 계시니, 왕의 마음에 있는 대로 행하소서." 하더라.
17:3 And it came to pass the same night, that the word of God came to Nathan, saying,
17:3 그날 밤에 하나님의 말씀이 나단에게 임하여 말씀하시기를
17:4 Go and tell David my servant, Thus saith the LORD, Thou shalt not build me an house to dwell in:
17:4 "너는 가서 내 종 다윗에게 말하라. 주가 이같이 말하노라. 너는 내가 거할 집을 짓지 말라.
17:5 For I have not dwelt in an house since the day that I brought up Israel unto this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and from [one] tabernacle [to another].
17:5 이는 내가 이스라엘을 인도해 낸 날부터 오늘까지 집에 거하지 아니하고 장막에서 장막으로, 이 성막에서 다른 성막으로 옮겼음이라.

17:8 네가 어디로 가든지 내가 너와 함께 있어 네 앞에서 네 모든 원수들을 끊어 버렸으며, 또 지상에 있는 위대한 사람들의 이름과 같은 이름을 네게 만들어 주었도다.

17:12 He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever.
17:12 그가 나를 위하여 전을 지을 것이요, 나는 그의 보좌를 영원히 견고하게 하리라.
17:13 I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took [it] from [him] that was before thee:
17:13 나는 그의 아버지가 되고, 그는 나의 아들이 되리라. 또 내가 그에게서 내 자비를 빼앗지 아니하여, 네 앞에 있던 자로부터 빼앗은 것같이 아니하고,
17:14 But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore.
17:14 그를 내 전과 내 왕국에 영원히 정착시키리니, 그의 보좌가 영원토록 견고하게 되리라." 하시더라.
17:15 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.
17:15 이 모든 말씀과 이 모든 환상에 따라 나단이 다윗에게 그대로 고하니라.
17:16 And David the king came and sat before the LORD, and said, Who [am] I, O LORD God, and what [is] mine house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?
17:16 다윗왕이 와서 주 앞에 앉아 말하기를 "오 주 하나님이여, 내가 누구이며 내 집이 무엇이기에 주께서 나를 여기까지 인도하셨나이까?
17:17 And [yet] this was a small thing in thine eyes, O God; for thou hast [also] spoken of thy servant's house for a great while to come, and hast regarded me according to the estate of a man of high degree, O LORD God.
17:17 오 하나님이여, 이것은 주의 눈에 오히려 하찮은 것일 뿐이니, 이는 주께서 또한 주의 종의 집에 대하여 다가올 먼 미래까지 말씀하셨으며, 오 주 하나님이여, 주께서 나를 높은 지위에 있는 사람과 동일하게 간주하셨음이니이다.

17:19 오 주여, 주의 종을 위하여, 또 주의 마음을 따라, 주께서 이 모든 큰 일을 행하시어 이 모든 큰 일들을 알게 하셨나이다.

17:21 세상에서 어느 민족이 주의 백성 이스라엘과 같으리이까? 하나님께서는 가셔서 그들을 구속하시어 자신의 백성을 삼으시고, 또 주께서 이집트에서 구속해 내신 주의 백성 앞에서 민족들을 몰아내심으로써 크고 무서운 이름을 얻으셨나이다.
17:22 For thy people Israel didst thou make thine own people for ever; and thou, LORD, becamest their God.
17:22 주께서 주의 백성 이스라엘을 영원히 주의 백성으로 삼으셨으니, 주여, 주께서 그들의 하나님이 되셨나이다.
17:23 Therefore now, LORD, let the thing that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant and concerning his house be established for ever, and do as thou hast said.
17:23 그러므로 이제 주여, 주께서 주의 종과 그의 집에 관하여 말씀하신 것이 영원히 견고하게 되게 하시고, 또 주께서 말씀하신 대로 행하소서.

17:24 그 집을 견고하게 하심으로 주의 이름이 영원히 높임을 받게 하시어, 말하기를 '만군의 주는 이스라엘의 하나님이시니, 즉 이스라엘에게 하나님이시라.' 하게 하시고, 주의 종 다윗의 집으로 주 앞에 견고히 서게 하소서.
17:25 For thou, O my God, hast told thy servant that thou wilt build him an house: therefore thy servant hath found [in his heart] to pray before thee.
17:25 오 나의 하나님이여, 주께서 주의 종에게 집을 지어 주시겠다고 말씀하셨으므로, 주의 종이 주 앞에서 기도할 마음이 생겼나이다.
17:26 And now, LORD, thou art God, and hast promised this goodness unto thy servant:
17:26 주여, 주는 하나님이시요, 주의 종에게 이 선한 것을 약속하셨나이다.
17:27 Now therefore let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may be before thee for ever: for thou blessest, O LORD, and [it shall be] blessed for ever.
17:27 그러므로 이제 주의 종의 집에 복을 주시어 주 앞에 영원히 있게 하사 주께 기쁨이 되게 하소서. 오 주여, 주께서 복을 주셨으니 종의 집이 영원히 복을 받으리이다." 하니라
