9:1 Hear, O Israel: Thou [art] to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than thyself, cities great and fenced up to heaven,
9:1 오 이스라엘아, 들으라. 네가 오늘 요단을 건너가서 너보다 더 크고 강한 민족들을 차지하리니 성읍들은 크고 하늘까지 성벽을 둘렀으며
9:2 A people great and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom thou knowest, and [of whom] thou hast heard [say], Who can stand before the children of Anak!
9:2 백성은 힘이 세고 키가 큰 아낙인들의 자손인데, 네가 그들을 알고 또 네가 그들에 관하여 들었나니, 말하기를 "누가 아낙 자손 앞에 설 수 있으랴!" 한 것이라.
9:3 Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God [is] he which goeth over before thee; [as] a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.
9:3 그러므로 오늘 너는 깨달으라. 주 너의 하나님 그 분께서 네 앞에 가시며 소멸케 하는 불로서 그들을 멸하시고 네 면전에 쓰러지게 하시리라. 그러므로 주께서 네게 말씀하신 대로 너는 그들을 몰아내고 그들을 속히 멸할지니라.
9:4 Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the LORD hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee.
9:4 주 너의 하나님께서 네 앞에서 그들을 쫓아내신 후에 너는 네 마음에 말하기를 "나의 의로움 때문에 주께서 나를 이 땅으로 인도하셔서 이 땅을 차지하게 하셨다." 하지 말라. 오직 이 민족들의 사악함 때문에 주께서 그들을 네 앞에서 몰아내신 것이니라.
9:5 Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
9:5 네가 가서 그들의 땅을 차지함은 네 의로움 때문도 아니요 네 마음의 정직함 때문도 아니며, 다만 이 민족들의 사악함 때문에 주 너의 하나님께서 네 앞에서 그들을 몰아내심이니, 이는 주께서 네 조상 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 맹세하신 말씀을 행하시는 것이니라.
9:6 Understand therefore, that the LORD thy God giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou [art] a stiffnecked people.
9:6 그러므로 주 너의 하나님께서는 네 의로움 때문에 그 땅을 차지하라고 이 아름다운 땅을 너에게 주시는 것이 아님을 너는 알지니, 이는 네가 목이 곧은 백성임이라.
9:7 Remember, [and] forget not, how thou provokedst the LORD thy God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that thou didst depart out of the land of Egypt, until ye came unto this place, ye have been rebellious against the LORD.
9:7 네가 광야에서 어떻게 주 너의 하나님을 진노케 하였는지 기억하고 잊지 말지니, 네가 이집트 땅을 출발한 날부터 너희가 이곳에 오기까지 너희는 주께 거역해 왔느니라.
9:8 Also in Horeb ye provoked the LORD to wrath, so that the LORD was angry with you to have destroyed you.
9:8 또한 호렙에서 너희가 주를 진노케 하였으므로 주께서 너희에게 진노하시어 너희를 멸하려 하셨느니라.
9:9 When I was gone up into the mount to receive the tables of stone, [even] the tables of the covenant which the LORD made with you, then I abode in the mount forty days and forty nights, I neither did eat bread nor drink water:
9:9 내가 돌판들, 즉 주께서 너희와 맺은 언약의 돌판들을 받으려고 산에 올라갔을 때, 내가 산에서 사십 일 낮과 사십 일 밤을 묵었으며 빵도 먹지 아니하고 물도 마시지 아니하였는데
9:10 And the LORD delivered unto me two tables of stone written with the finger of God; and on them [was written] according to all the words, which the LORD spake with you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly.
9:10 주께서 하나님의 손가락으로 기록하신 두 돌판을 내게 건네주셨으니, 그 위에 기록된 것은 집회의 날에 산의 불 가운데서 주께서 너희와 말씀하신 모든 말씀에 따른 것이니라.
9:11 And it came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights, [that] the LORD gave me the two tables of stone, [even] the tables of the covenant.
9:11 사십 일 낮과 사십 일 밤이 지났을 때 주께서 내게 두 돌판, 즉 언약의 돌판들을 주셨으며
9:12 And the LORD said unto me, Arise, get thee down quickly from hence; for thy people which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt have corrupted [themselves]; they are quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have made them a molten image.
9:12 주께서 내게 말씀하시기를 "일어나서 속히 여기서 내려가라. 네가 이집트에서 데리고 나온 네 백성이 부패하였나니 그들이 내가 그들에게 명령한 길에서 속히 벗어나서 자기들을 위해 부어 만든 형상을 만들었느니라." 하시고
9:13 Furthermore the LORD spake unto me, saying, I have seen this people, and, behold, it [is] a stiffnecked people:
9:13 또 주께서 내게 일러 말씀하시기를 "내가 이 백성을 보았노니, 보라, 목이 곧은 백성이라.
9:14 Let me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under heaven: and I will make of thee a nation mightier and greater than they.
9:14 나대로 하게 하라. 내가 그들을 멸하여 하늘 아래서 그들의 이름을 지워 버리고 너를 그들보다 더 강하고 큰 민족으로 만들리라." 하시기에
9:15 So I turned and came down from the mount, and the mount burned with fire: and the two tables of the covenant [were] in my two hands.
9:15 내가 돌아서서 산에서 내려왔더니 그 산은 불에 탔고 그 언약의 두 돌판은 내 두 손에 있었느니라.
9:16 And I looked, and, behold, ye had sinned against the LORD your God, [and] had made you a molten calf: ye had turned aside quickly out of the way which the LORD had commanded you.
9:16 내가 보았더니, 보라, 너희가 주 너희 하나님께 죄를 지었고 너희를 위하여 부어 만든 송아지를 만들었으니, 너희가 주께서 너희에게 명령하셨던 길에서 속히 벗어났었느니라.
9:17 And I took the two tables, and cast them out of my two hands, and brake them before your eyes.
9:17 그래서 내가 두 돌판을 들어 내 두 손에서 그것들을 던져, 그것들을 너희 눈 앞에서 깨뜨렸느니라.
9:18 And I fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
9:18 내가 처음과 같이 사십 일 낮과 사십 일 밤을 주 앞에 엎드려서 빵도 먹지 아니하고 물도 마시지 아니하였으니, 이는 너희가 주의 목전에 악을 행하며 그분을 격노케하여 지은 너희의 모든 죄들 때문이니라.
9:19 For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the LORD was wroth against you to destroy you. But the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also.
9:19 나는 주께서 너희에게 격노하시어 너희를 멸하려 하신 분노와 진노를 무서워하였으나 그 때에도 주께서는 내 말을 들어주셨느니라.
9:20 And the LORD was very angry with Aaron to have destroyed him: and I prayed for Aaron also the same time.
9:20 또 주께서 아론에게 진노하시어 그를 멸하려 하셨으니 내가 아론을 위해서도 같은 시각에 기도하였느니라.
9:21 And I took your sin, the calf which ye had made, and burnt it with fire, and stamped it, [and] ground [it] very small, [even] until it was as small as dust: and I cast the dust thereof into the brook that descended out of the mount.
9:21 내가 너희의 죄, 즉 너희가 만든 송아지를 취하여 그것을 불로 태우고 찧어서 가루로 만들었으니, 티끌같이 작게 갈아 산에서 흘러내리는 시내에 그 가루를 뿌렸느니라.
9:22 And at Taberah, and at Massah, and at Kibrothhattaavah, ye provoked the LORD to wrath.
9:22 또한 너희가 타베라와 맛사와 키브롯핫타아와에서도 주를 격노케 하였으며
9:23 Likewise when the LORD sent you from Kadeshbarnea, saying, Go up and possess the land which I have given you; then ye rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God, and ye believed him not, nor hearkened to his voice.
9:23 또 주께서 카데스바네아에서 너희를 보내시며 말씀하시기를 "너희는 올라가서 내가 너희에게 준 땅을 차지하라." 하셨는데 너희가 주 너희 하나님의 명령을 거역하여 그분을 믿지도 않았고 그분의 음성을 청종하지도 않았느니라.
9:24 Ye have been rebellious against the LORD from the day that I knew you.
9:24 내가 너희를 알던 날부터 너희는 주를 거역해 왔느니라.
9:25 Thus I fell down before the LORD forty days and forty nights, as I fell down [at the first]; because the LORD had said he would destroy you.
9:25 그리하여 내가 처음에 엎드린 것과 같이 사십 일 낮과 사십 일 밤을 주 앞에 엎드렸으니, 이는 주께서 너희를 멸하시겠다고 말씀하셨기 때문이라.
9:26 I prayed therefore unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, destroy not thy people and thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed through thy greatness, which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand.
9:26 그러므로 내가 주께 간구하여 말하기를 "주 하나님이여, 주의 백성과 주의 유업을 멸하지 마소서. 이들은 주께서 주의 위대하심을 통하여 구속하셨으며 주께서 능하신 손으로 이집트에서 인도해 내신 자들이니이다.
9:27 Remember thy servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; look not unto the stubbornness of this people, nor to their wickedness, nor to their sin:
9:27 주의 종들, 곧 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱을 기억하시고, 이 백성의 완고함이나 그들의 사악함이나 그들의 죄를 보지 마시며
9:28 Lest the land whence thou broughtest us out say, Because the LORD was not able to bring them into the land which he promised them, and because he hated them, he hath brought them out to slay them in the wilderness.
9:28 주께서 우리를 인도하여 내신 그 땅의 백성이 말하기를 '주는 그들에게 약속하신 땅으로 그들을 인도할 수 없었고, 그가 그들을 미워하였기에 그는 광야에서 그들을 죽이려고 그들을 인도하여 냈도다.' 하지 않게 하소서.
9:29 Yet they [are] thy people and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest out by thy mighty power and by thy stretched out arm.
9:29 그들은 주께서 주의 강한 능력과 주의 편 팔로 인도하여 내신 주의 백성이며 주의 유업이니이다." 하였느니라.
9:1 오 이스라엘아, 들으라. 네가 오늘 요단을 건너가서 너보다 더 크고 강한 민족들을 차지하리니 성읍들은 크고 하늘까지 성벽을 둘렀으며
9:2 A people great and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom thou knowest, and [of whom] thou hast heard [say], Who can stand before the children of Anak!
9:2 백성은 힘이 세고 키가 큰 아낙인들의 자손인데, 네가 그들을 알고 또 네가 그들에 관하여 들었나니, 말하기를 "누가 아낙 자손 앞에 설 수 있으랴!" 한 것이라.
9:3 Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God [is] he which goeth over before thee; [as] a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.
9:3 그러므로 오늘 너는 깨달으라. 주 너의 하나님 그 분께서 네 앞에 가시며 소멸케 하는 불로서 그들을 멸하시고 네 면전에 쓰러지게 하시리라. 그러므로 주께서 네게 말씀하신 대로 너는 그들을 몰아내고 그들을 속히 멸할지니라.

9:4 주 너의 하나님께서 네 앞에서 그들을 쫓아내신 후에 너는 네 마음에 말하기를 "나의 의로움 때문에 주께서 나를 이 땅으로 인도하셔서 이 땅을 차지하게 하셨다." 하지 말라. 오직 이 민족들의 사악함 때문에 주께서 그들을 네 앞에서 몰아내신 것이니라.

9:7 네가 광야에서 어떻게 주 너의 하나님을 진노케 하였는지 기억하고 잊지 말지니, 네가 이집트 땅을 출발한 날부터 너희가 이곳에 오기까지 너희는 주께 거역해 왔느니라.

9:11 And it came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights, [that] the LORD gave me the two tables of stone, [even] the tables of the covenant.
9:11 사십 일 낮과 사십 일 밤이 지났을 때 주께서 내게 두 돌판, 즉 언약의 돌판들을 주셨으며
9:12 And the LORD said unto me, Arise, get thee down quickly from hence; for thy people which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt have corrupted [themselves]; they are quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have made them a molten image.
9:12 주께서 내게 말씀하시기를 "일어나서 속히 여기서 내려가라. 네가 이집트에서 데리고 나온 네 백성이 부패하였나니 그들이 내가 그들에게 명령한 길에서 속히 벗어나서 자기들을 위해 부어 만든 형상을 만들었느니라." 하시고
9:13 Furthermore the LORD spake unto me, saying, I have seen this people, and, behold, it [is] a stiffnecked people:
9:13 또 주께서 내게 일러 말씀하시기를 "내가 이 백성을 보았노니, 보라, 목이 곧은 백성이라.
9:14 Let me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under heaven: and I will make of thee a nation mightier and greater than they.
9:14 나대로 하게 하라. 내가 그들을 멸하여 하늘 아래서 그들의 이름을 지워 버리고 너를 그들보다 더 강하고 큰 민족으로 만들리라." 하시기에
9:15 So I turned and came down from the mount, and the mount burned with fire: and the two tables of the covenant [were] in my two hands.
9:15 내가 돌아서서 산에서 내려왔더니 그 산은 불에 탔고 그 언약의 두 돌판은 내 두 손에 있었느니라.
9:16 And I looked, and, behold, ye had sinned against the LORD your God, [and] had made you a molten calf: ye had turned aside quickly out of the way which the LORD had commanded you.
9:16 내가 보았더니, 보라, 너희가 주 너희 하나님께 죄를 지었고 너희를 위하여 부어 만든 송아지를 만들었으니, 너희가 주께서 너희에게 명령하셨던 길에서 속히 벗어났었느니라.
9:17 And I took the two tables, and cast them out of my two hands, and brake them before your eyes.
9:17 그래서 내가 두 돌판을 들어 내 두 손에서 그것들을 던져, 그것들을 너희 눈 앞에서 깨뜨렸느니라.
9:18 And I fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
9:18 내가 처음과 같이 사십 일 낮과 사십 일 밤을 주 앞에 엎드려서 빵도 먹지 아니하고 물도 마시지 아니하였으니, 이는 너희가 주의 목전에 악을 행하며 그분을 격노케하여 지은 너희의 모든 죄들 때문이니라.
9:19 For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the LORD was wroth against you to destroy you. But the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also.
9:19 나는 주께서 너희에게 격노하시어 너희를 멸하려 하신 분노와 진노를 무서워하였으나 그 때에도 주께서는 내 말을 들어주셨느니라.
9:20 And the LORD was very angry with Aaron to have destroyed him: and I prayed for Aaron also the same time.
9:20 또 주께서 아론에게 진노하시어 그를 멸하려 하셨으니 내가 아론을 위해서도 같은 시각에 기도하였느니라.

9:24 내가 너희를 알던 날부터 너희는 주를 거역해 왔느니라.
9:25 Thus I fell down before the LORD forty days and forty nights, as I fell down [at the first]; because the LORD had said he would destroy you.
9:25 그리하여 내가 처음에 엎드린 것과 같이 사십 일 낮과 사십 일 밤을 주 앞에 엎드렸으니, 이는 주께서 너희를 멸하시겠다고 말씀하셨기 때문이라.
9:26 I prayed therefore unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, destroy not thy people and thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed through thy greatness, which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand.
9:26 그러므로 내가 주께 간구하여 말하기를 "주 하나님이여, 주의 백성과 주의 유업을 멸하지 마소서. 이들은 주께서 주의 위대하심을 통하여 구속하셨으며 주께서 능하신 손으로 이집트에서 인도해 내신 자들이니이다.

9:28 주께서 우리를 인도하여 내신 그 땅의 백성이 말하기를 '주는 그들에게 약속하신 땅으로 그들을 인도할 수 없었고, 그가 그들을 미워하였기에 그는 광야에서 그들을 죽이려고 그들을 인도하여 냈도다.' 하지 않게 하소서.
9:29 Yet they [are] thy people and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest out by thy mighty power and by thy stretched out arm.
9:29 그들은 주께서 주의 강한 능력과 주의 편 팔로 인도하여 내신 주의 백성이며 주의 유업이니이다." 하였느니라.
