23:1 And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven oxen and seven rams.
23:1 발라암이 발락에게 말하기를 "여기에다 나에게 일곱 제단을 쌓아 주고, 여기에 수송아지 일곱 마리와 숫양 일곱 마리를 준비해 주소서." 하니
23:2 And Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on [every] altar a bullock and a ram.
23:2 발락이 발라암의 말대로 하매 발락과 발라암이 각 제단에 수송아지 한 마리와 숫양 한 마리씩을 드리니라.
23:3 And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt offering, and I will go: peradventure the LORD will come to meet me: and whatsoever he sheweth me I will tell thee. And he went to an high place.
23:3 발라암이 발락에게 말하기를 "당신의 번제물 곁에 서소서. 그러면 내가 가리니 혹 주께서 나를 만나러 오시리이다. 주께서 내게 보여 주시는 것은 무엇이나 내가 당신께 말하리이다." 하고 그는 산당으로 가니라.
23:4 And God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered upon [every] altar a bullock and a ram.
23:4 하나님께서 발라암을 만나시니 그가 하나님께 말씀드리기를 "내가 일곱 제단을 준비하고 각 제단에 수송아지 한 마리와 숫양 한 마리를 드렸나이다." 하니
23:5 And the LORD put a word in Balaam's mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak.
23:5 주께서 발라암의 입에 말씀을 넣으시고 말씀하시기를 "발락에게 돌아가서 너는 이렇게 말하라." 하시니라.
23:6 And he returned unto him, and, lo, he stood by his burnt sacrifice, he, and all the princes of Moab.
23:6 그가 발락에게 돌아갔더니, 보라, 그가 그의 번제물 곁에 섰으며, 그와 모압의 모든 고관들이 섰더라.
23:7 And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab hath brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, [saying], Come, curse me Jacob, and come, defy Israel.
23:7 발라암이 그의 비유를 지어 말하기를 "모압 왕 발락이 아람에서, 동편 산지에서 나를 데려다가 말하기를 '와서 나를 위하여 야곱을 저주하라. 와서 이스라엘을 비난하라.' 하는도다.
23:8 How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, [whom] the LORD hath not defied?
23:8 하나님께서 저주하시지 않은 자를 내가 어찌 저주하며 주께서 비난하시지 않은 자를 내가 어찌 비난하리요?
23:9 For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.
23:9 내가 바위들의 꼭대기에서 그를 보며 작은 산들에서 그를 보니, 보라, 이 백성이 홀로 거할 것이요 민족들 가운데 있는 것으로 여겨지지 아니하리라.
23:10 Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth [part] of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!
23:10 야곱의 티끌을 누가 계산할 수 있으며 이스라엘 사분의 일의 수를 누가 계산할 수 있으랴? 나로 의인의 죽음으로 죽게 하고, 나의 종말이 그와 같이 되게 하라!" 하니
23:11 And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed [them] altogether.
23:11 발락이 발라암에게 말하기를 "그대가 어찌하여 나에게 이같이 행하느냐? 내가 내 원수들을 저주하라고 그대를 데려왔더니, 보라, 그대는 그들을 전부 축복하였도다." 하더라.
23:12 And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the LORD hath put in my mouth?
23:12 그가 대답하여 말하기를 "주께서 내 입에 넣어 주신 것을 말하도록 주의해야 하지 않겠나이까?" 하니
23:13 And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them: thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and curse me them from thence.
23:13 발락이 그에게 말하기를 "내가 네게 청하노니, 나와 함께 다른 곳으로 가자. 거기서는 네가 그들을 볼 수 있으나 그들을 다 보지 못하고 그들의 끝부분만을 보리니 거기에서 나를 위하여 그들을 저주하라." 하더라.
23:14 And he brought him into the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered a bullock and a ram on [every] altar.
23:14 발락이 그를 소핌의 들로 데리고 피스가의 정상에 이르러 일곱 제단을 세우고 각 제단에 수송아지와 숫염소를 드리더라.
23:15 And he said unto Balak, Stand here by thy burnt offering, while I meet [the LORD] yonder.
23:15 그가 발락에게 말하기를 "내가 저기서 주를 만날 동안 여기 당신의 번제물 곁에 서소서." 하니라.
23:16 And the LORD met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Go again unto Balak, and say thus.
23:16 주께서 발라암을 만나사 그의 입에 말씀을 넣어 주시며 말씀하시기를 "발락에게 다시 가서 이렇게 말하라." 하시니라.
23:17 And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath the LORD spoken?
23:17 발라암이 그에게 왔더니, 보라, 그가 자기 번제물 곁에 서 있고 모압의 고관들도 그와 함께 있더라. 발락이 발라암에게 말하기를 "주께서 무엇이라고 말씀하시더냐?" 하니
23:18 And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear; hearken unto me, thou son of Zippor:
23:18 발라암이 가서 자기 비유를 지어 말하기를 "발락이여, 일어서서 들으라. 너 십폴의 아들이여, 나에게 경청하라.
23:19 God [is] not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do [it]? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
23:19 하나님은 사람이 아니시니 거짓말하지 않으시며, 또 사람의 아들이 아니시니 후회가 없으시도다. 그 분이 말씀하신 것을 행하지 않으시랴? 또한 이르신 것을 이루지 않으시랴?
23:20 Behold, I have received [commandment] to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.
23:20 보라, 내가 축복하라는 명령을 받았도다. 그가 복 주신 것을 내가 바꿀 수 없도다.
23:21 He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God [is] with him, and the shout of a king [is] among them.
23:21 주께서는 야곱의 죄악을 보지 않으시며 또 이스라엘의 패역을 보지 않으셨도다. 주 그의 하나님께서 그와 함께 계시니, 왕을 환호하는 소리가 그들 가운데 있도다.
23:22 God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.
23:22 하나님께서 그들을 이집트에서 데리고 나오셨으니, 그 힘이 유니콘의 힘 같구나.
23:23 Surely [there is] no enchantment against Jacob, neither [is there] any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!
23:23 정녕, 야곱을 대적할 마법이 없고 이스라엘을 대적할 점술이 없도다. 이 때를 따라 야곱과 이스라엘을 말하게 되리니 '하나님께서 이루어 놓으신 일이 어떠하냐!' 하리라.
23:24 Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat [of] the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.
23:24 보라, 백성이 큰 사자같이 일어나고 그가 젊은 수사자같이 일어서서 먹이를 먹으며 죽인 것의 피를 마실 때까지는 눕지 아니하리라." 하니라.
23:25 And Balak said unto Balaam, Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all.
23:25 그러자 발락이 발라암에게 말하기를 "그들을 전혀 저주하지도 말고 전혀 축복하지도 말라." 하더라.
23:26 But Balaam answered and said unto Balak, Told not I thee, saying, All that the LORD speaketh, that I must do?
23:26 그러나 발라암이 발락에게 대답하여 말하기를 "내가 당신에게 고하기를 주께서 말씀하신 모든 것을 내가 꼭 해야 된다고 말하지 않았나이까?" 하더라.
23:27 And Balak said unto Balaam, Come, I pray thee, I will bring thee unto another place; peradventure it will please God that thou mayest curse me them from thence.
23:27 또 발락이 발라암에게 말하기를 "내가 네게 청하노니, 오라. 내가 너를 다른 곳으로 데려가리니 네가 거기서 나를 위하여 그들을 저주하면 혹시 그것이 하나님을 기쁘시게 하리라." 하고
23:28 And Balak brought Balaam unto the top of Peor, that looketh toward Jeshimon.
23:28 발락이 발라암을 여시몬이 내려다보이는 프올의 정상에 데려가니라.
23:29 And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven bullocks and seven rams.
23:29 발라암이 발락에게 말하기를 "여기에 나를 위하여 일곱 제단을 쌓고 나를 위하여 수송아지 일곱과 수양 일곱을 준비하소서." 하니
23:30 And Balak did as Balaam had said, and offered a bullock and a ram on [every] altar.
23:30 발락이 발라암이 말한 대로 하여 각 제단에 수송아지 한 마리와 숫양 한 마리씩을 드리니라.
23:1 발라암이 발락에게 말하기를 "여기에다 나에게 일곱 제단을 쌓아 주고, 여기에 수송아지 일곱 마리와 숫양 일곱 마리를 준비해 주소서." 하니
23:2 And Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on [every] altar a bullock and a ram.
23:2 발락이 발라암의 말대로 하매 발락과 발라암이 각 제단에 수송아지 한 마리와 숫양 한 마리씩을 드리니라.
23:3 And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt offering, and I will go: peradventure the LORD will come to meet me: and whatsoever he sheweth me I will tell thee. And he went to an high place.
23:3 발라암이 발락에게 말하기를 "당신의 번제물 곁에 서소서. 그러면 내가 가리니 혹 주께서 나를 만나러 오시리이다. 주께서 내게 보여 주시는 것은 무엇이나 내가 당신께 말하리이다." 하고 그는 산당으로 가니라.

23:5 And the LORD put a word in Balaam's mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak.
23:5 주께서 발라암의 입에 말씀을 넣으시고 말씀하시기를 "발락에게 돌아가서 너는 이렇게 말하라." 하시니라.
23:6 And he returned unto him, and, lo, he stood by his burnt sacrifice, he, and all the princes of Moab.
23:6 그가 발락에게 돌아갔더니, 보라, 그가 그의 번제물 곁에 섰으며, 그와 모압의 모든 고관들이 섰더라.

23:7 발라암이 그의 비유를 지어 말하기를 "모압 왕 발락이 아람에서, 동편 산지에서 나를 데려다가 말하기를 '와서 나를 위하여 야곱을 저주하라. 와서 이스라엘을 비난하라.' 하는도다.
23:8 How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, [whom] the LORD hath not defied?
23:8 하나님께서 저주하시지 않은 자를 내가 어찌 저주하며 주께서 비난하시지 않은 자를 내가 어찌 비난하리요?

23:16 And the LORD met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Go again unto Balak, and say thus.
23:16 주께서 발라암을 만나사 그의 입에 말씀을 넣어 주시며 말씀하시기를 "발락에게 다시 가서 이렇게 말하라." 하시니라.
23:17 And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath the LORD spoken?
23:17 발라암이 그에게 왔더니, 보라, 그가 자기 번제물 곁에 서 있고 모압의 고관들도 그와 함께 있더라. 발락이 발라암에게 말하기를 "주께서 무엇이라고 말씀하시더냐?" 하니
23:18 And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear; hearken unto me, thou son of Zippor:

23:26 But Balaam answered and said unto Balak, Told not I thee, saying, All that the LORD speaketh, that I must do?
23:26 그러나 발라암이 발락에게 대답하여 말하기를 "내가 당신에게 고하기를 주께서 말씀하신 모든 것을 내가 꼭 해야 된다고 말하지 않았나이까?" 하더라.
23:27 And Balak said unto Balaam, Come, I pray thee, I will bring thee unto another place; peradventure it will please God that thou mayest curse me them from thence.
23:27 또 발락이 발라암에게 말하기를 "내가 네게 청하노니, 오라. 내가 너를 다른 곳으로 데려가리니 네가 거기서 나를 위하여 그들을 저주하면 혹시 그것이 하나님을 기쁘시게 하리라." 하고

23:30 발락이 발라암이 말한 대로 하여 각 제단에 수송아지 한 마리와 숫양 한 마리씩을 드리니라.
