8:1 And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the house of the LORD, and his own house,
8:1 솔로몬이 주의 전과 자기의 궁을 건축한 이십 년이 끝나자
8:2 That the cities which Huram had restored to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.
8:2 후람이 솔로몬에게 돌려 준 성읍들을 솔로몬이 건축하여 이스라엘 자손으로 거기에 거하게 하였더라.
8:3 And Solomon went to Hamathzobah, and prevailed against it.
8:3 솔로몬이 하맛소바에 가서 그것을 쳐서 이겼더라.
8:4 And he built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the store cities, which he built in Hamath.
8:4 그가 또 광야에 탓몰을 건축하고, 하맛에 모든 국고 성읍들을 건축하였으며
8:5 Also he built Bethhoron the upper, and Bethhoron the nether, fenced cities, with walls, gates, and bars;
8:5 또 위 벧호론과 아래 벧호론을 건축하였으니, 성벽들과 문들과 문빗장들이 있는 방벽친 성읍들이며,
8:6 And Baalath, and all the store cities that Solomon had, and all the chariot cities, and the cities of the horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and throughout all the land of his dominion.
8:6 솔로몬이 가진 모든 국고 성읍들과, 모든 병거 성읍들과, 기병 성읍들과, 솔로몬이 예루살렘과 레바논과 그가 통치하는 온 땅에 건축하려 한 모든 것을 건축하였더라.
8:7 [As for] all the people [that were] left of the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which [were] not of Israel,
8:7 이스라엘이 아닌 힛인들과, 아모리인들과, 프리스인들과, 히위인들과, 여부스인들 중에서 남은 모든 백성은
8:8 [But] of their children, who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel consumed not, them did Solomon make to pay tribute until this day.
8:8 이스라엘 자손이 진멸하지 못하여 그들 이후에 그 땅에 남아 있는 그들의 자손들에게는 솔로몬이 세금을 바치게 하여 오늘에 이르니라.
8:9 But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no servants for his work; but they [were] men of war, and chief of his captains, and captains of his chariots and horsemen.
8:9 그러나 솔로몬이 이스라엘 자손 중에서는 자기 일에 종으로 삼지 아니하였으니, 그들은 군인들이고, 그의 대장들의 우두머리요, 그의 병거들과 기병들의 대장들이었더라.
8:10 And these [were] the chief of king Solomon's officers, [even] two hundred and fifty, that bare rule over the people.
8:10 이들은 솔로몬왕의 관원들의 우두머리들인데, 이백오십 명으로 백성을 다스리는 일을 맡으니라.
8:11 And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because [the places are] holy, whereunto the ark of the LORD hath come.
8:11 솔로몬이 파라오의 딸을 다윗 성읍으로부터 그가 그녀를 위하여 지은 궁으로 데려와서 말하기를 "내 아내는 이스라엘 왕 다윗의 궁에 거하지 못하리니, 이는 주의 궤가 이르렀던 자리들은 거룩함이라." 하였더라.
8:12 Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the LORD on the altar of the LORD, which he had built before the porch,
8:12 그때 솔로몬이 현관 앞에 지은 주의 제단에서 주께 번제를 드렸으니
8:13 Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, [even] in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.
8:13 모세의 명에 따라 매일 일정량을 따르고 안식일과 새 달과 엄숙한 명절로 일 년에 세 번, 즉 무교절과 칠칠절과 장막절에 드리니라.
8:14 And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.
8:14 또 그가 그의 아버지 다윗의 규례에 따라 제사장들의 서열을 정하여 섬기게 하고 레위인들에게도 그들의 직분대로 매일 필요한 직무로 제사장들 앞에서 찬양하고 섬기게 하며 문지기들도 그들의 서열대로 문마다 지켰으니 이는 하나님의 사람 다윗이 전에 이렇게 명하였음이더라.
8:15 And they departed not from the commandment of the king unto the priests and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures.
8:15 그들이 왕의 명에서 떠나지 아니하였으니 어떤 일이나 국고에 관한 일에 관해서도 제사장들과 레위인에 이르기까지 그리하였더라.
8:16 Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of the LORD, and until it was finished. [So] the house of the LORD was perfected.
8:16 주의 전을 기초하던 날에서 끝마칠 때까지 솔로몬의 모든 일이 완비되었으므로 주의 전이 완전하더라.
8:17 Then went Solomon to Eziongeber, and to Eloth, at the sea side in the land of Edom.
8:17 그 후 솔로몬이 에돔 땅의 바닷가에 있는 에시온게벨과 에롯에 갔더니
8:18 And Huram sent him by the hands of his servants ships, and servants that had knowledge of the sea; and they went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and took thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought [them] to king Solomon.
8:18 후람이 그의 신하들의 손으로 그에게 배들과 바다의 지식을 지닌 신하들을 보냈더라. 그들이 솔로몬의 신하들과 함께 오필로 가서 거기서 금 사백오십 달란트를 취하여 솔로몬왕에게로 가져왔더라.

8:2 That the cities which Huram had restored to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.
