126:1 {A Song of degrees.} When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
126:1 A Song of Ascents. When the LORD brought back the captivity of Zion, We were like those who dream.

126:2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.
126:2 Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them."

126:3 The LORD hath done great things for us; [whereof] we are glad.
126:3 The LORD has done great things for us, And we are glad.

126:4 Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.
126:4 Bring back our captivity, O LORD, As the streams in the South.

126:5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
126:5 Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy.

126:6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves [with him].
126:6 He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him.
