45:1 {To the chief Musician upon Shoshannim, for the sons of Korah, Maschil, A Song of loves.} My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue [is] the pen of a ready writer.
45:1 To the Chief Musician. Set to 'The Lilies.' A Contemplation of the sons of Korah. A Song of Love. My heart is overflowing with a good theme; I recite my composition concerning the King; My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

45:2 Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.
45:2 You are fairer than the sons of men; Grace is poured upon Your lips; Therefore God has blessed You forever.

45:3 Gird thy sword upon [thy] thigh, O [most] mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.
45:3 Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O Mighty One, With Your glory and Your majesty.

45:4 And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness [and] righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.
45:4 And in Your majesty ride prosperously because of truth, humility, and righteousness; And Your right hand shall teach You awesome things.

45:5 Thine arrows [are] sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; [whereby] the people fall under thee.
45:5 Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the King's enemies; The peoples fall under You.

45:6 Thy throne, O God, [is] for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom [is] a right sceptre.
45:6 Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.

45:7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
45:7 You love righteousness and hate wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.

45:8 All thy garments [smell] of myrrh, and aloes, [and] cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.
45:8 All Your garments are scented with myrrh and aloes and cassia, Out of the ivory palaces, by which they have made You glad.

45:9 Kings' daughters [were] among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.

45:10 Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house;
45:10 Listen, O daughter, Consider and incline your ear; Forget your own people also, and your father's house;

45:11 So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he [is] thy Lord; and worship thou him.
45:11 So the King will greatly desire your beauty; Because He is your Lord, worship Him.

45:12 And the daughter of Tyre [shall be there] with a gift; [even] the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour.
45:12 And the daughter of Tyre will come with a gift; The rich among the people will seek your favor.

45:13 The king's daughter [is] all glorious within: her clothing [is] of wrought gold.
45:13 The royal daughter is all glorious within the palace; Her clothing is woven with gold.

45:14 She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.
45:14 She shall be brought to the King in robes of many colors; The virgins, her companions who follow her, shall be brought to You.

45:15 With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace.

45:16 Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth.
