24:1 And Jesus went out from the temple, and was going on his way; and his disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the temple.
24:1 And Jesus came out from the temple and was going away when His disciples came up to point out the temple buildings to Him.

24:2 But he answered and said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
24:2 And He answered and said to them, "Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, not one stone here shall be left upon another, which will not be torn down."

24:3 And as he sat on the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what (shall be) the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
24:3 And as He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be, and what [will be] the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?"

24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man lead you astray.
24:4 And Jesus answered and said to them, "See to it that no one misleads you.

24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ; and shall lead many astray.
24:5 "For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will mislead many.

24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that ye be not troubled: for (these things) must needs come to pass; but the end is not yet.
24:6 "And you will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not frightened, for [those things] must take place, but [that] is not yet the end.

24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines and earthquakes in divers places.
24:7 "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes.

24:8 But all these things are the beginning of travail.
24:8 "But all these things are [merely] the beginning of birth pangs.

24:9 Then shall they deliver you up unto tribulation, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all the nations for my name's sake.
24:9 "Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations on account of My name.

24:10 And then shall many stumble, and shall deliver up one another, and shall hate one another.
24:10 "And at that time many will fall away and will deliver up one another and hate one another.

24:11 And many false prophets shall arise, and shall lead many astray.
24:11 "And many false prophets will arise, and will mislead many.

24:12 And because iniquity shall be multiplied, the love of the many shall wax cold.
24:12 "And because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold.

24:13 But he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved.
24:13 "But the one who endures to the end, he shall be saved.

24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a testimony unto all the nations; and then shall the end come.

24:15 When therefore ye see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let him that readeth understand),
24:15 "Therefore when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),

24:16 then let them that are in Judaea flee unto the mountains:
24:16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains;

24:17 let him that is on the housetop not go down to take out things that are in his house:
24:17 let him who is on the housetop not go down to get the things out that are in his house;

24:18 and let him that is in the field not return back to take his cloak.
24:18 and let him who is in the field not turn back to get his cloak.

24:19 But woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days!
24:19 "But woe to those who are with child and to those who nurse babes in those days!

24:20 And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on a sabbath:
24:20 "But pray that your flight may not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath;

24:21 for then shall be great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever shall be.
24:21 for then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever shall.

24:22 And except those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
24:22 "And unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days shall be cut short.

24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is the Christ, or, Here; believe (it) not.
24:23 "Then if anyone says to you, 'Behold, here is the Christ,' or 'There [He is,'] do not believe [him.]

24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.
24:24 "For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.

24:25 Behold, I have told you beforehand.
24:25 "Behold, I have told you in advance.

24:26 If therefore they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the wilderness; go not forth: Behold, he is in the inner chambers; believe (it) not.
24:26 "If therefore they say to you, 'Behold, He is in the wilderness,' do not go forth, [or,]' Behold, He is in the inner rooms, 'do not believe [them.]

24:27 For as the lightning cometh forth from the east, and is seen even unto the west; so shall be the coming of the Son of man.
24:27 "For just as the lightning comes from the east, and flashes even to the west, so shall the coming of the Son of Man be.

24:28 Wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
24:28 "Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.

24:29 But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
24:29 "But immediately after the tribulation of those days THE SUN WILL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT, AND THE STARS WILL FALL from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken,

24:30 and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
24:30 and then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory.

24:31 And he shall send forth his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
24:31 "And He will send forth His angels with A GREAT TRUMPET and THEY WILL GATHER TOGETHER His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.

24:32 Now from the fig tree learn her parable: when her branch is now become tender, and putteth forth its leaves, ye know that the summer is nigh;
24:32 "Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender, and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near;

24:33 even so ye also, when ye see all these things, know ye that he is nigh, (even) at the doors.
24:33 even so you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, [right] at the door.

24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all these things be accomplished.
24:34 "Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.

24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
24:35 "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words shall not pass away.

24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no one, not even the angels of heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only.
24:36 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.

24:37 And as (were) the days of Noah, so shall be the coming of the Son of man.
24:37 "For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah.

24:38 For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,
24:38 "For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, they were marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,

24:39 and they knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall be the coming of the Son of man.
24:39 and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so shall the coming of the Son of Man be.

24:40 Then shall two man be in the field; one is taken, and one is left:
24:40 "Then there shall be two men in the field; one will be taken, and one will be left.

24:41 two women (shall be) grinding at the mill; one is taken, and one is left.
24:41 "Two women [will be] grinding at the mill; one will be taken, and one will be left.

24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not on what day your Lord cometh.
24:42 "Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming.

24:43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken through.
24:43 "But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.

24:44 Therefore be ye also ready; for in an hour that ye think not the Son of man cometh.
24:44 "For this reason you be ready too; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think [He will.]

24:45 Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath set over his household, to give them their food in due season?
24:45 "Who then is the faithful and sensible slave whom his master put in charge of his household to give them their food at the proper time?

24:46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
24:46 "Blessed is that slave whom his master finds so doing when he comes.

24:47 Verily I say unto you, that he will set him over all that he hath.
24:47 "Truly I say to you, that he will put him in charge of all his possessions.

24:48 But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord tarrieth;
24:48 "But if that evil slave says in his heart, 'My master is not coming for a long time,'

24:49 and shall begin to beat his fellow-servants, and shall eat and drink with the drunken;
24:49 and shall begin to beat his fellow slaves and eat and drink with drunkards;

24:50 the lord of that servant shall come in a day when he expecteth not, and in an hour when he knoweth not,
24:50 the master of that slave will come on a day when he does not expect [him] and at an hour which he does not know,

24:51 and shall cut him asunder, and appoint his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
24:51 and shall cut him in pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites; weeping shall be there and the gnashing of teeth.
