21:16 and said unto him, Hearest thou what these are saying? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea: did ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou has perfected praise?
21:16 and said to Him, "Do You hear what these are saying?" And Jesus *said to them, "Yes; have you never read, 'OUT OF THE MOUTH OF INFANTS AND NURSING BABES THOU HAST PREPARED PRAISE FOR THYSELF'?"

21:19 And seeing a fig tree by the way side, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only; and he saith unto it, Let there be no fruit from thee henceforward for ever. And immediately the fig tree withered away.
21:19 And seeing a lone fig tree by the road, He came to it, and found nothing on it except leaves only; and He *said to it, "No longer shall there ever be [any] fruit from you." And at once the fig tree withered.

21:20 And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How did the fig tree immediately wither away?
21:20 And seeing [this,] the disciples marveled, saying, "How did the fig tree wither at once?"

21:21 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do what is done to the fig tree, but even if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou taken up and cast into the sea, it shall be done.
21:21 And Jesus answered and said to them, "Truly I say to you, if you have faith, and do not doubt, you shall not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' it shall happen.

21:24 And Jesus answered and said unto them, I also will ask you one question, which if ye tell me, I likewise will tell you by what authority I do these things.
21:24 And Jesus answered and said to them, "I will ask you one thing too, which if you tell Me, I will also tell you by what authority I do these things.

21:27 And they answered Jesus, and said, We know not. He also said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.

21:29 And he answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented himself, and went.
21:29 "And he answered and said, 'I will, sir'; and he did not go.

21:30 And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I (go), sir: and went not.

21:32 For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not; but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye saw it, did not even repent yourselves afterward, that ye might believe him.

21:33 "Listen to another parable. There was a landowner who PLANTED A VINEYARD AND PUT A WALL AROUND IT AND DUG A WINE PRESS IN IT, AND BUILT A TOWER, and rented it out to vine-growers, and went on a journey.

21:34 And when the season of the fruits drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, to receive his fruits.
21:34 "And when the harvest time approached, he sent his slaves to the vine-growers to receive his produce.

21:35 And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.
21:35 "And the vine-growers took his slaves and beat one, and killed another, and stoned a third.

21:36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them in like manner.
21:36 "Again he sent another group of slaves larger than the first; and they did the same thing to them.

21:37 But afterward he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son.
21:37 "But afterward he sent his son to them, saying, 'They will respect my son.'

21:38 But the husbandmen, when they saw the son, said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and take his inheritance.
21:38 "But when the vine-growers saw the son, they said among themselves, 'This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and seize his inheritance.'

21:39 And they took him, and cast him forth out of the vineyard, and killed him.
21:39 "And they took him, and threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him.

21:40 When therefore the lord of the vineyard shall come, what will he do unto those husbandmen?
21:40 "Therefore when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vine-growers?"

21:41 They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those miserable men, and will let out the vineyard unto other husbandmen, who shall render him the fruits in their seasons.
21:41 They *said to Him, "He will bring those wretches to a wretched end, and will rent out the vineyard to other vine-growers, who will pay him the proceeds at the [proper] seasons."

21:42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, The same was made the head of the corner; This was from the Lord, And it is marvelous in our eyes?

21:43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken away from you, and shall be given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
21:43 "Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you, and be given to a nation producing the fruit of it.

21:44 And he that falleth on this stone shall be broken to pieces: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will scatter him as dust.
21:44 "And he who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; but on whomever it falls, it will scatter him like dust."

21:45 And when the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them.
