15:1 And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
15:1 Now the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

15:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye are come into the land of your habitations, which I give unto you,
15:2 "Speak to the sons of Israel, and say to them, 'When you enter the land where you are to live, which I am giving you,

15:3 and will make an offering by fire unto Jehovah, a burnt-offering, or a sacrifice, to accomplish a vow, or as a freewill-offering, or in your set feasts, to make a sweet savor unto Jehovah, of the herd, or of the flock;
15:3 then make an offering by fire to the LORD, a burnt offering or a sacrifice to fulfill a special vow, or as a freewill offering or in your appointed times, to make a soothing aroma to the LORD, from the herd or from the flock.

15:4 then shall he that offereth his oblation offer unto Jehovah a meal-offering of a tenth part (of an ephah) of fine flour mingled with the fourth part of a hin of oil:
15:4 'And the one who presents his offering shall present to the LORD a grain offering of one-tenth [of an ephah] of fine flour mixed with one-fourth of a hin of oil,

15:5 and wine for the drink-offering, the fourth part of a hin, shalt thou prepare with the burnt-offering, or for the sacrifice, for each lamb.
15:5 and you shall prepare wine for the libation, one-fourth of a hin, with the burnt offering or for the sacrifice, for each lamb.

15:6 Or for a ram, thou shalt prepare for a meal-offering two tenth parts (of an ephah) of fine flour mingled with the third part of a hin of oil:
15:6 'Or for a ram you shall prepare as a grain offering two-tenths [of an ephah] of fine flour mixed with one-third of a hin of oil;

15:7 and for the drink-offering thou shalt offer the third part of a hin of wine, of a sweet savor unto Jehovah.
15:7 and for the libation you shall offer one-third of a hin of wine as a soothing aroma to the LORD.

15:8 And when thou preparest a bullock for a burnt-offering, or for a sacrifice, to accomplish a vow, or for peace-offerings unto Jehovah;
15:8 'And when you prepare a bull as a burnt offering or a sacrifice, to fulfill a special vow, or for peace offerings to the LORD,

15:9 then shall he offer with the bullock a meal-offering of three tenth parts (of an ephah) of fine flour mingled with half a hin of oil:
15:9 then you shall offer with the bull a grain offering of three-tenths [of an ephah] of fine flour mixed with one-half a hin of oil;

15:10 and thou shalt offer for the drink-offering half a hin of wine, for an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto Jehovah.
15:10 and you shall offer as the libation one-half a hin of wine as an offering by fire, as a soothing aroma to the LORD.

15:11 Thus shall it be done for each bullock, or for each ram, or for each of the he-lambs, or of the kids.
15:11 'Thus it shall be done for each ox, or for each ram, or for each of the male lambs, or of the goats.

15:12 According to the number that ye shall prepare, so shall ye do to every one according to their number.
15:12 'According to the number that you prepare, so you shall do for everyone according to their number.

15:13 All that are home-born shall do these things after this manner, in offering an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto Jehovah.
15:13 'All who are native shall do these things in this manner, in presenting an offering by fire, as a soothing aroma to the LORD.

15:14 And if a stranger sojourn with you, or whosoever may be among you throughout your generations, and will offer an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto Jehovah; as ye do, so he shall do.
15:14 'And if an alien sojourns with you, or one who may be among you throughout your generations, and he [wishes to] make an offering by fire, as a soothing aroma to the LORD, just as you do, so he shall do.

15:15 For the assembly, there shall be one statute for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth (with you), a statute for ever throughout your generations: as ye are, so shall the sojourner be before Jehovah.
15:15 '[As for] the assembly, there shall be one statute for you and for the alien who sojourns [with you,] a perpetual statute throughout your generations; as you are, so shall the alien be before the LORD.

15:16 One law and one ordinance shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you.
15:16 'There is to be one law and one ordinance for you and for the alien who sojourns with you.' "

15:17 And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
15:17 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

15:18 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land whither I bring you,
15:18 "Speak to the sons of Israel, and say to them, 'When you enter the land where I bring you,

15:19 then it shall be, that, when ye eat of the bread of the land, ye shall offer up a heave-offering unto Jehovah.
15:19 then it shall be, that when you eat of the food of the land, you shall lift up an offering to the LORD.

15:20 Of the first of your dough ye shall offer up a cake for a heave-offering: as the heave-offering of the threshing-floor, so shall ye heave it.
15:20 'Of the first of your dough you shall lift up a cake as an offering; as the offering of the threshing floor, so you shall lift it up.

15:21 Of the first of your dough ye shall give unto Jehovah a heave-offering throughout your generations.
15:21 'From the first of your dough you shall give to the LORD an offering throughout your generations.

15:22 And when ye shall err, and not observe all these commandments, which Jehovah hath spoken unto Moses,
15:22 'But when you unwittingly fail and do not observe all these commandments, which the LORD has spoken to Moses,

15:23 even all that Jehovah hath commanded you by Moses, from the day that Jehovah gave commandment, and onward throughout your generations;
15:23 [even] all that the LORD has commanded you through Moses, from the day when the LORD gave commandment and onward throughout your generations,

15:24 then it shall be, if it be done unwittingly, without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bullock for a burnt-offering, for a sweet savor unto Jehovah, with the meal-offering thereof, and the drink-offering thereof, according to the ordinance, and one he-goat for a sin-offering.
15:24 then it shall be, if it is done unintentionally, without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one bull for a burnt offering, as a soothing aroma to the LORD, with its grain offering, and its libation, according to the ordinance, and one male goat for a sin offering.

15:25 And the priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and they shall be forgiven; for it was an error, and they have brought their oblation, an offering made by fire unto Jehovah, and their sin-offering before Jehovah, for their error:
15:25 'Then the priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and they shall be forgiven; for it was an error, and they have brought their offering, an offering by fire to the LORD, and their sin offering before the LORD, for their error.

15:26 and all the congregation of the children of Israel shall be forgiven, and the stranger that sojourneth among them; for in respect of all the people it was done unwittingly.
15:26 'So all the congregation of the sons of Israel will be forgiven, with the alien who sojourns among them, for [it happened] to all the people through error.

15:27 And if one person sin unwittingly, then he shall offer a she-goat a year old for a sin-offering.
15:27 'Also if one person sins unintentionally, then he shall offer a one year old female goat for a sin offering.

15:28 And the priest shall make atonement for the soul that erreth, when he sinneth unwittingly, before Jehovah, to make atonement for him; and he shall be forgiven.
15:28 'And the priest shall make atonement before the LORD for the person who goes astray when he sins unintentionally, making atonement for him that he may be forgiven.

15:29 Ye shall have one law for him that doeth aught unwittingly, for him that is home-born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.
15:29 'You shall have one law for him who does [anything] unintentionally, for him who is native among the sons of Israel and for the alien who sojourns among them.

15:30 But the soul that doeth aught with a high hand, whether he be home-born or a sojourner, the same blasphemeth Jehovah; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
15:30 'But the person who does [anything] defiantly, whether he is native or an alien, that one is blaspheming the LORD; and that person shall be cut off from among his people.

15:31 Because he hath despised the word of Jehovah, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.
15:31 'Because he has despised the word of the LORD and has broken His commandment, that person shall be completely cut off; his guilt [shall be] on him.' "

15:32 And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks upon the sabbath day.
15:32 Now while the sons of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering wood on the sabbath day.

15:33 And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation.
15:33 And those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation;

15:34 And they put him in ward, because it had not been declared what should be done to him.
15:34 and they put him in custody because it had not been declared what should be done to him.

15:35 And Jehovah said unto Moses, The man shall surely be put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.
15:35 Then the LORD said to Moses, "The man shall surely be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp."

15:36 And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him to death with stones; as Jehovah commanded Moses.
15:36 So all the congregation brought him outside the camp, and stoned him to death with stones, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.

15:37 And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
15:37 The LORD also spoke to Moses, saying,

15:38 Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of each border a cord of blue:
15:38 "Speak to the sons of Israel, and tell them that they shall make for themselves tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and that they shall put on the tassel of each corner a cord of blue.

15:39 and it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of Jehovah, and do them; and that ye follow not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to play the harlot;
15:39 "And it shall be a tassel for you to look at and remember all the commandments of the LORD, so as to do them and not follow after your own heart and your own eyes, after which you played the harlot,

15:40 that ye may remember and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.
15:40 in order that you may remember to do all My commandments, and be holy to your God.

15:41 I am Jehovah your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am Jehovah your God.
15:41 "I am the LORD your God who brought you out from the land of Egypt to be your God; I am the LORD your God."
