104:1 Bless the LORD, my soul!
LORD my God, You are very great;
You are clothed with splendor and majesty,
104:2 Covering Yourself with light as with a cloak,
Stretching out heaven like a tent curtain.
104:3 ①He lays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters;
②He makes the clouds His chariot;
③He walks on the wings of the wind;
▷ ①Lit The one who ②Lit The one who ③Lit The one who
104:4 ①He makes ②the winds His messengers,
③Flaming fire His ministers.
▷ ①Lit Who ②Or His angels, spirits ③Or His ministers flames of fire
104:5 He established the earth upon its foundations,
So that it will not ①totter forever and ever.
▷ ①Or move out of place
104:6 You covered it with the deep sea as with a garment;
The waters were standing above the mountains.
104:7 They fled from Your rebuke,
At the sound of Your thunder they hurried away.
104:8 The mountains rose; the valleys sank down
To the place which You established for them.
104:9 You set a boundary so that they will not pass over,
So that they will not return to cover the earth.
104:10 ①He sends forth springs in the valleys;
They flow between the mountains;
▷ ①Lit The one who sends
104:11 They give drink to every animal of the field;
The wild donkeys quench their thirst.
104:12 The birds of the sky dwell ①beside them;
They ②lift up their voices from among the branches.
▷ ①Or over; or above ②Lit give forth
104:13 ①He waters the mountains from His upper chambers;
The earth is satisfied with the fruit of His works.
▷ ①Lit Who
104:14 ①He causes the grass to grow for the ②cattle,
And vegetation for the labor of mankind,
So that ③they may produce ④food from the earth,
▷ ①Lit Who ②Or animals ③Or He ④Lit bread
104:15 And wine, which makes a human heart cheerful,
So that he makes his face gleam with oil,
And ①food, which sustains a human heart.

The cedars of Lebanon which He planted,
▷ ①Lit are satisfied
104:17 Where the birds build their nests,
And the stork, whose home is the juniper trees.
104:18 The high mountains are for the wild goats;
The cliffs are a refuge for the rock hyrax.
104:19 He made the moon for the seasons;
The sun knows the place of its setting.
104:20 You appoint darkness and it becomes night,
In which all the animals of the forest ①prowl about.
▷ ①Lit crawl
104:21 The young lions roar for their prey
①And seek their food from God.
▷ ①Lit And to seek
104:22 When the sun rises they withdraw,
And they lie down in their dens.
104:23 A person goes out to his work
And to his labor until evening.
104:24 LORD, how many are Your works!
①In wisdom You have made them all;
The earth is full of Your ②possessions.
▷ ①Or With ②Or creatures
104:25 ①There is the sea, great and ②broad,
In which are swarms without number,
Animals both small and great.
▷ ①Or This ②Or broad of dimensions; lit hands

And ①Leviathan, which You have formed to have fun in it.
▷ ①Or a sea monster
104:27 They all wait for You
To give them their food in ①due season.
▷ ①Lit its appointed time
104:28 You give to them, they gather it up;
You open Your hand, they are satisfied with good.
104:29 You hide Your face, they are terrified;
You take away their breath, they perish
And return to their dust.
104:30 You send forth Your ①Spirit, they are created;
And You renew the face of the ground.
▷ ①Or breath
104:31 May the glory of the LORD endure forever;
May the LORD rejoice in His works;
104:32 ①He looks at the earth, and it trembles;
He touches the mountains, and they smoke.
▷ ①Lit The one who
104:33 ①I will sing to the LORD ②as long as I live;
③I will sing praise to my God ④while I have my being.
▷ ①Or Let me sing ②Lit in my lifetime ③Or Let me sing ④Lit while I still am
104:34 May my praise be pleasing to Him;
As for me, I shall rejoice in the LORD.

And may the wicked be no more.
Bless the LORD, my soul.
